To shed light on the individuals shaping the Amapiano scene, five influential figures were highlighted. Thulani Keupilwe, known as Thuli, founded Lawk Communications, a prominent artist management company managing top artists like DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small. Reba Shai, a music industry figure, manages global Amapiano sensation Focalistic and leads marketing at the independent label 18 Area. Bontle Modiselle, a dancer and media personality, has made significant contributions to the Amapiano scene through her dynamic performances and collaborations with Amapiano artists. Nasaa Reloaded, a dancer and artist, is recognized for her unique style and production skills in the Amapiano genre. Phiona Okumu, Spotify’s Head of Music in Sub Saharan Africa, plays a vital role in promoting Amapiano music globally through curated playlists and artist support.

These individuals are pushing the boundaries of Amapiano and taking the genre to new heights, solidifying its position as a dynamic force in contemporary music.
