An AI-based app called PadhAI achieved a remarkable score of over 170 out of 200 in the UPSC preliminary exams 2024 by solving the entire paper in just seven minutes. This score surpasses the general average score of under 100, placing PadhAI in the top 10 nationally. The app, developed by a team of IITians, took the exam in a public setting and the event was live-streamed for transparency. PadhAI’s CEO Karttikeya Mangalam stated that this achievement is the highest score in the last 10 years of UPSC exams and believes that such events will become more common as educational institutions race to solve papers quickly and accurately with AIs. The app offers various AI features for UPSC preparation, including news summaries, smart PYQ search, doubt clarification, interactive answer explanations, and book summaries. PadhAI’s success highlights the potential of AI in the education sector and its ability to revolutionize exam preparation methods.
