ElevenLabs, an audio AI developer, has partnered with CMG Worldwide to bring back the voices of Hollywood legends like James Dean, Judy Garland, Laurence Olivier, and Burt Reynolds through their new Reader App. Liza Minnelli, daughter of Judy Garland, is excited about introducing her mother’s work to new fans through this technology. The free Reader App supports over 29 languages and can read various types of content like articles, emails, and PDFs. While the larger ElevenLabs platform offers AI voice generation for different purposes, these celebrity voices are exclusively available in the Reader App. CMG Worldwide, which manages the estates of these Hollywood icons, has previously collaborated with Respeecher to recreate the voice of Jimmy Stewart for a project with Calm. Soul Machines also released an AI-generated Marilyn Monroe avatar for personalized interactions. This new technology allows fans to engage with the voices of deceased celebrities in a unique and immersive way. The use of AI to recreate celebrity voices is becoming more common, with authorized recreations being preferred over unauthorized clones.
