Emmanuel Keyekeh shoots down notion his time with Asante Kotoko wasn’t good – Citi Sports Online

Emmanuel Keyekeh, midfielder and captain of FC Samartex 1996, won the 2024 Ghana Football Awards Home-Based Player of the Year Award, beating out players from Dreams FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC. Keyekeh excelled in the 2023-2024 season, helping Samartex win the Ghana Premier League title. Despite his successful time with Samartex, Keyekeh also reflected on his time with Kotoko, stating that injuries and a lack of playing time in his second season impacted his experience with the club. After winning the league under one coach, Keyekeh left Kotoko when a new coach took over, eventually leading to his move to Samartex. Keyekeh is now reportedly being targeted by several African clubs. The Ghana Football Awards also saw Mohammed Kudus named Footballer of the Year for the second consecutive year.
