At HLTH Europe, the Trustworthy & Responsible AI Network (TRAIN) announced its expansion to Europe with the goal of helping organizations in the region implement responsible AI through technology-based guardrails. The European TRAIN includes healthcare leaders from various organizations in Europe, with Microsoft as the technology partner. The network aims to improve the quality, safety, and trustworthiness of AI tools in healthcare to benefit clinicians and patients. The consortium’s objectives include providing technology and tools for responsible AI, collaborating with stakeholders, sharing best practices, enabling registration of AI, measuring outcomes, and developing a federated AI outcomes registry.
The European TRAIN initiative brings together healthcare organizations to share knowledge and tools for the successful implementation of responsible AI in healthcare practices. The focus is on safeguarding patient data, respecting privacy, and aligning practices with European healthcare standards. The collaboration between the technology industry and healthcare is seen as a model for leveraging AI to improve patient care and outcomes.
