Google has released an update to Gemini’s AI model, doubling the token context window to two million tokens. This enhancement allows the model to access more text or data when responding to user prompts without causing hallucinations. Developers can now access this feature on Gemini 1.5 Pro, but the Gemini App does not currently support it. To utilize the larger context window, developers must use Google AI Studio or the Gemini API. This upgrade will have a significant impact on Google’s position in the AI space and enable users to interact with vast amounts of information, including uploading and interacting with hour-long videos.
