Google Gemini: AI chatbot app with subscription plan #technology

Evening Standard

Google has rebranded its artificial intelligence chatbot and productivity tools, Bard and Duet, as Gemini. This move follows Microsoft’s renaming of Bing Chat to Copilot. Google’s Gemini encompasses all its AI technology, including chatbots and office tasks. The Gemini AI comes in three varieties: Nano for smartphones, Pro, and Ultra. The Ultra model is available through Google Advanced, a subscription plan that costs £19 per month. Gemini Advanced is available in English in 150 countries and territories. The Gemini app is not yet available in the UK, but it may launch soon in Europe. Users can replace Google Assistant with Gemini on Android devices. However, on iPhones, users will have to use the Google app to access Gemini. Overall, Google’s rebranding and introduction of Gemini represent a significant shift in its AI offerings, with potential benefits for users looking for advanced AI capabilities.
