Is AI Generated Information Reliable or Not? | by Ritvik Nayak | Jul, 2024

AI has made significant advancements since its creation in the 1950s, leading to innovations like Google’s AI-automated car and the Metaverse. However, recent mishaps, such as a fatal accident involving an Uber self-driving car and a wrongful arrest due to AI facial recognition, highlight the need for human supervision in AI systems. AI systems generate information through data acquisition, preprocessing, and machine learning techniques like supervised and unsupervised learning. Natural Language Processing (NLP) allows algorithms to process and generate information in different languages, while Computer Vision uses Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for image analysis. Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) are used for tasks like text-to-video generation and art creation. AI reliability depends on factors like data quality, training, monitoring, and human oversight. While AI has the potential for unprecedented innovation, it currently requires more human supervision to ensure accurate results and prevent mishaps. In the future, AI advancements may lead to groundbreaking solutions and advancements in various fields.
