Mark Zuckerberg criticizes Google and OpenAI for creating AI #God

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg discussed Meta’s AI strategy in an interview with YouTuber Kane Sutter, expressing his belief that there will not be just one dominant AI in the future. He emphasized the need for different AIs for different purposes, contrasting with competitors like Google and OpenAI who are working towards a single AI. Zuckerberg highlighted Meta’s approach of developing multiple small AIs with distinct functions.

Meta recently announced early testing of AI Studio software, allowing creators to develop AI avatars for Instagram messaging. These avatars can interact with users and are clearly marked as AI to avoid confusion. Zuckerberg also talked about the progress of Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and holographic displays, emphasizing the potential of display-less smart glasses with cameras, microphones, and AI capabilities.

He mentioned future advancements like wristbands interpreting brain signals for neural interfaces, noting that these technologies will complement rather than replace smartphones. Zuckerberg believes that even in 10 years, smartphones will still be used but in a more intentional and less obsessive manner. He envisions smart glasses becoming more functional and widely adopted, similar to how smartphones have supplemented computers.

Overall, Zuckerberg’s vision for the future of technology involves a diverse ecosystem of AIs serving different purposes, alongside continued use of smartphones in a more deliberate manner.
