A digital face in profile against a digital background.

Microsoft has partnered with Oracle to enhance its Azure AI platform by utilizing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This collaboration comes after Oracle’s strong performance in Q4 2024, with significant revenue growth driven by cloud services. Oracle CEO Safra Catz highlighted the company’s cloud pivot and emphasized the need for continued growth and acceleration in revenue, earnings, and cash flow performance. Larry Ellison, Oracle’s chair and CTO, discussed the expansion of data centers to support AI cloud training and hinted at even larger facilities in the future.

In addition to the partnership with Microsoft, Oracle is also set to collaborate with Google to allow cloud customers to leverage OCI for application migrations and AI workloads without data-transfer charges. This collaboration, known as Google Cloud’s ‘Cross-Cloud-Interconnect’, is expected to launch later this year. Oracle’s focus on cloud computing and AI workloads aligns with industry trends, and the company aims to further strengthen its position in the market through strategic partnerships and continued growth in cloud infrastructure revenue.
