Google recently announced Google Vids, a new AI video generation tool that helps businesses create videos for various purposes such as HR onboarding, training, client pitches, and product rollouts. Google Vids is part of the Google Workspace suite and can be used with Docs, Slides, and Sheets. Users can try Vids with or without AI by joining Google Workspace Labs and accessing the Google Vids page on Docs. The tool offers templates for different types of videos and allows users to add text, photos, and music to create a customized video. Alternatively, users can use the “Help Me Create” feature to describe their video and have the AI tool generate a video step by step. Vids provides editable storyboards, various styles, stock video, images, background music, and voiceover options. Google plans to release new features for Vids gradually and will refine the tool through Workspace Labs before making it available to select Google Workspace plans.
