tyFlow 1.111 brings Stable Diffusion to 3ds Max #simulation

tyFlow 1.111 integrates Stable Diffusion into 3ds Max

Tyson Ibele has released tyFlow 1.111, a major update to his particle and multiphysics add-on for 3ds Max. The new tyDiffusion module integrates Stable Diffusion into 3ds Max, allowing users to create detailed imagery and animation using generative AI models. Originally a replacement for Particle Flow, tyFlow has evolved into a multiphysics system capable of simulating granular fluids, rigid bodies, soft bodies, cloth, and crowds. Recent updates have added a terrain-generation system and the ability to import and manipulate data in OpenVDB format.

The latest version, tyFlow 1.111, introduces the tyDiffusion module, which enables users to generate AI images and animations in 3ds Max using Stable Diffusion. This feature allows the AI model to create output based on viewport information relayed from the 3ds Max scene. The module supports Stable Diffusion XL features and provides users with the ability to project AI-generated images onto 3D models for texturing. Other new features in tyFlow 1.111 include improvements to particle cache exports, Alembic point clouds, and Unreal Engine-compatible resample resolutions for terrain exports.

tyFlow 1.111 is compatible with 3ds Max 2018+ and offers both Free and Pro editions. The Free edition includes all simulation tools but lacks CPU multithreading, GPU acceleration, and cache export capabilities. The Pro edition, priced at $495 for a perpetual node-locked license or $645 for a floating license, includes additional features and support for GPU acceleration. Users can find a full list of new features in the online documentation and download the free edition of tyFlow without registration.
