The feature uses Meta AI chatbots to generate images of users based on uploaded selfies. This feature, spotted by WABetaInfo, will offer a creative alternative to traditional profile pictures by allowing users to personalize their avatars with AI-generated images. The feature will be optional and require manual activation in settings. Users can also choose custom backgrounds like forests or space to enhance their avatars. The ‘Imagine Me’ feature will be available in future updates and can be activated by typing “@Meta AI Imagine me.” Meta AI, powered by Llama 3 large language model (LLM), is already available on Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger apps.
