WhatsApp tests new AI tool ‘Imagine Me’ for selfie stickers #innovation

Few-shot tool-use doesn’t really work (yet)

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, has introduced an AI chatbot feature powered by Llama 3 in India. The chatbot allows users to have fun conversations and can respond to complex queries with simple answers. It also has text-to-image generation capabilities, allowing users to create digital art with just words. Additionally, WhatsApp is testing a new feature called ‘Imagine Me’ which allows users to create personalized selfie stickers. This feature, powered by generative AI, offers various options to make photos look creative and fun. Users can trigger this feature by typing ‘@Meta AI imagine me’ and allowing the chatbot to take selfies via WhatsApp. The images are then used to create stickers that can be used as Display Pictures. This new feature is currently being tested in WhatsApp beta for Android.
