Instant denoising and super-resolution in microscopy with zero-shot learning #fluorescence

The Multi-SIM system is a fluorescence microscope system built using specific components and laser beams to generate different illumination modes for imaging. A confocal system was developed as a modification of an existing microscopy system, utilizing multiple laser beams and detectors for image scanning. The ZS-DeconvNet is a dual-stage architecture designed for low-SNR super-resolution tasks, incorporating denoising and deconvolution stages. It uses a combined loss function for training and optimizing the network. The system is trained and tested on various biological specimens, including cells, embryos, and tissues. The performance of the system is evaluated based on image quality metrics such as PSNR. The system also includes genome-edited cell lines and detailed protocols for sample preparation and imaging. The research design includes independent repetitions of experiments to ensure reproducibility.
