OpenAI has announced a major upgrade to its ChatGPT AI-powered chatbot, offering premium users access to an enhanced version of the GPT-4 Turbo model. This new model, trained on data up to December 2023, boasts improvements in writing, math, logical reasoning, and coding, as well as a more up-to-date knowledge base. Users can expect more direct, less verbose, and more conversational responses when interacting with ChatGPT using the new GPT-4 Turbo. The update comes in the wake of OpenAI launching new models in its API, including GPT-4 Turbo with Vision for image understanding capabilities.

However, OpenAI has faced criticism recently, with reports surfacing that Microsoft proposed the military use of OpenAI’s DALL-E text-to-image model. Additionally, two researchers at OpenAI, including an ally of chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, were fired for allegedly leaking information. Despite these challenges, OpenAI continues to innovate and enhance its AI technologies, providing users with cutting-edge conversational AI experiences through ChatGPT.
