OpenAI’s ChatGPT powers new rival for Meta’s Ray-Ban Smart Glasses #AIrevolution

Solos, a smart glasses manufacturer, is set to launch the AirGo Vision, a camera-equipped version of its smart glasses powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4o AI model. This technology enables the camera to recognize objects and answer questions about the user’s surroundings. The glasses will also feature a swappable frame system and notification LEDs for incoming calls or emails. The AirGo Vision can be integrated with Google Gemini and Anthropic’s Claude AI models. The price and release date for the AirGo Vision have not been disclosed but are expected to be higher than the $249.99 price tag for the camera-less version. This new product is set to challenge Meta’s Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, which currently dominate the market. Meta’s smart glasses were the first to feature built-in Meta AI, allowing hands-free interaction with AI. Earlier this year, Meta announced plans to introduce AI features like translation and object identification to its smart glasses. With the AirGo Vision, Solos aims to offer a viable alternative with advanced AI capabilities, challenging Meta’s dominance in the smart glasses market.
