Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed the state police department to adopt this technology for the event in 2025. He emphasized the importance of ensuring safety, convenience, and cleanliness at the religious gathering, and stressed the need for a detailed action and contingency plan to effectively manage crowds. The use of AI-based equipment and approaches will help monitor crowd density and disperse potential clusters before they disrupt order. The Maha Kumbh Mela will take place from January 14th to February 26th, 2025.
