Generative AI is a field of artificial intelligence that can create human-like content such as pictures, videos, poetry, and computer code. There are four main types of generative AI: Large Language Models (LLMs), Diffusion Models, Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), and Neural Radiance Fields (NeRFs).
LLMs are neural networks trained on text data to generate content and understand natural language inputs. Diffusion models create images and videos through iterative denoising processes. GANs involve two algorithms, a generator and discriminator, competing to create realistic content. NeRFs are used to create 3D representations of objects using deep learning.
Hybrid models in generative AI combine different techniques to create innovative content generation systems. By blending approaches like GANs, diffusion models, and LLMs, hybrid models can produce more refined and realistic outputs. Examples include DeepMind’s AlphaCode for generating computer code and OpenAI’s CLIP for text-to-image models.
Generative AI is constantly evolving, with new methodologies and applications emerging regularly. The field is expected to bring groundbreaking applications in the next decade, transforming industries and reshaping technology interactions.
