ElevenLabs, an AI startup, has launched a new iOS app called “ElevenLabs Reader: AI Audio” that can narrate any text file, written content, or webpage in various AI-generated voices. The app aims to make content universally accessible in any language and voice. Users can listen to articles, books, webpages, or documents on the go with this app. It offers 11 different voices and accents for narration, along with the ability to control the speed of the narration. While the app does a decent job of converting text files into audio, it may struggle with unusual formatting. ElevenLabs also offers other capabilities on their website, such as converting speech into different voices and languages, AI dubbing, and AI sound effects. The app currently only supports narration in English, but there are plans to add more languages in the future. “ElevenLabs Reader: AI Audio” is available for download on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS/iPadOS 15 or later.
