AI tool helps tennis fans stay updated on Wimbledon matches. #Wimbledon

IBM has introduced a new artificial intelligence tool called “Catch Me Up AI” in partnership with the All-England Club Lawn Tennis Club to engage tennis fans during Wimbledon. This tool provides AI-generated content for player cards with updated stats and play styles throughout the tournament. The personalized player cards include pre-match and post-match content, such as career information, recent form, win probabilities, key statistics, and highlights packages.

The AI tool, powered by IBM’s Granite large language model, aims to enhance fan experience by providing personalized content and expanding coverage of matches. The All England Lawn Tennis Club digital products lead, Chris Clements, emphasized the club’s commitment to offering fans a high-quality Wimbledon experience, whether in person or digitally.

The feature is not intended to replace human roles but rather to provide more coverage of matches and tell stories about emerging players. With new talent emerging in the tennis world, the AI tool will help introduce fans to rising stars and bring attention to different aspects of the game. By telling more stories about new players and filling gaps in coverage, the tool aims to broaden the scope of Wimbledon coverage and engage fans in a more personalized and informative way.
