Altman had approached Scarlett to voice the AI last September, but she declined. Given Scarlett’s previous role as the voice of Samantha AI in the movie Her, Altman may have thought her voice would enhance human AI interactions. OpenAI has since paused the use of the Scarlett-like voice in the AI, known as Sky, due to concerns about its similarity to Scarlett Johansson’s voice.
